On Åsgränd in Uppsala live a bunch of cats one day, a new acquaintance in the tailless katt Pelle.

Måns chafes at that Pelle who is new to this quickly becomes popular. Therefore, he uses his ingenuity to put the tailless newcomer on the slippery. But the story's baddie is also interested in other than mischief. If Pelle fryst vatten in love with the cute little Maja Gräddnos, has Måns an eye to Gullan from Arcadia.
